

It's Christmas, but there is good news too!
Well Christmas crept up on us. Tomorrow night sees the Christmas buffet for those who are attending, but we don't have another club night until the 9th January. On that night we have the always entertaining knockout competition - but we are seriously lacking entries this year. There's still loads of time to get two digital images to Ben for this, so please don't hesitate to have a go. Members' Night - 12/12/17
This week we have a members' night, which is largely open to discuss anything photography that might be on your mind. Ken is going to give a brief overview of what the recently released ON1 Photo RAW software can do, and why you might fancy it as a more affordable alternative to photoshop. It's a Knockout
Tuesday 12th is the night for submission of images for the annual knockout competition. For new members, this is a fun contest held usually on the first night back after new year, where the audience becomes the judge, and images are pitted against each other until we are left with one winner. Scurdie Ness Outing - Sunday 10th Dec
This coming Sunday we have our second outing of the year, at Scurdie Ness. For those who like their engineering and history, Scurdie Ness Lighthouse was built by David and Thomas Stevenson, and commissioned in 1870, and is an excellent example of a Stevenson lighthouse - always excellent focal points for photographs. While still in use, the house and grounds are privately owned, but there are many photo opportunities around the perimeter of it, and along the rocky headland
