

Annual Image Competition Round 3
Rikki O'Neill of Dundee judged Round 3 of the Annual Image Competition. With one more round to be judged and the points added up for the first three rounds it looks as if Steve Carle will be very difficult to beat in Division 2 having been placed first in each round so far. Mini Panel/Triptych
The competition to find the winner of the South Esk Trophy 2022/23 was judged by Steve Whittaker from Carnoustie. Seventeen members submitted their carefully considered groups of three images on a variety of themes using many different layouts. The winner was Jock Elliott with Large Red Damselfly. In second place was Jennifer Moffat with Every Photo Tells a Story - My Mum. Third equal were The Buick 55s by Iain Wilson ... ... and Trip'tyching the Light Fantastic by Chris Twym


Annual Image Competition Round 2
Round 2 was judged by Ian McCurrach from Aberdeen and the members appreciated the beautifully descriptive, constructive comments and encouragement given by a thoughtful judge with an artistic eye. The high quality of the images submitted to the competition made judging difficult. Light and Colour
Following the success of Light Painting last session Alan Meek and Kevin Dawson came back to give us another opportunity to try an evening of fun photography. Once again we're very grateful to Paul for letting us use his big, dark garage for our experiments. For some of us it was a chance to improve on our efforts from last time and for others it was something completely new to try.
