

Image of the Year 2025
Roy Robertson FRPS Hon came to Brechin to present his thoughts on each of the submissions in all three Image of the Year Competitions, Colour Print, Mono Print and Digital Image. Annual Image Competition - Final Round
We were pleased to welcome back a good friend and former member of BPS, Andy Hayes, to judge the prints for the fourth round of the Annual Image Competition. It was an exciting evening as the points were close from three previous rounds and several members were in a position to win in both divisions. Knockout Competition
The final meeting of 2025 was in the hall and was a fun Knockout Competition. Some members had submitted two entries each on the theme of 'Images That Bring a Smile to Your Face'. This produced a very wide variety of images making the voting, by a show of hands in the hall, really difficult at times. The winner was '96 Today' by Amanda Dickson. Annual Image Competition Round 3 Winners
Ashley Frankiln, who gave us a fascinating talk on Zoom last session and will be giving another talk at the end of January, delivered his verdict and comments on the Annual Image Competition Round 3 submissions. He was very thorough in his critique of each image giving constructive points to help us improve our images. Fascinating Salt Prints
One of our new members, Neil Ferguson, gave a superb presentation and demonstration of how to produce a salt print from an old glass slide, using Montrose harbour water. Neil also showed us some of the beautiful images he has created using vaious methods he has worked on over many years.
