The Scottish Photographic Federation 'Interim' Digital Championship 2021 Awards were announced on Sunday 27th February 2022. There were two competitions, the Plate, with 19 clubs entering and Brechin PS coming an excellent 7th equal place, and the Ian Bowie competition with 17 clubs entered. For the individual awards all 625 submitted images from the 36 clubs were considered. A short list of 101 images included two of Jock Elliott's images, "Siskin Acrobatics" and "Blackbirds
We were delighted to welcome back Andy Hayes ARPS EFIAP/g DPAGB to judge the Main Project and give his constructive feedback on all the submissions via Zoom. In September Andy gave us advice and examples of how to put together twelve related images into a successful project and this was a chance to see how well everyone did as a result. The projects covered a huge variety of subject matter making Andy's task particularly difficult and the standard was, once again, very high.
We were pleased to welcome Stewart Dodd LRPS to deliver his judgements on the entries for this year's three image of the year competitions. He gave us constructive criticism and advice and announced the top three places for the Colour Print of the Year, Mono Print of the Year and Digital Image of the Year.
