Annual Image Competition - Round 2

The second round of the Annual Image Competition was judged by David Hay HonSPF from Pitlochry. Unfortunately David was unable to attend the zoom meeting, but kindly provided comments and scores in advance.

In Division 2, the winner was Anne May with her image The Joy of Timket, which the judge referred to as a remarkable image. A Print of the Year contender perhaps!

In second Place, with Salute, was Peter Reilly, and in third place with Robin was Chris Beattie.

Into Division 1, and the judge praised the high standard of wildlife photography at BPS, with both first and second place receiving a maximum 20 points. However, he singled out Sanderling by Ian Hastie as the round winner, complimenting the effort to get to eye level with the subject to elevate the image above a standard shot.

The runner up was James Anderson's Common Snipe, and in third place was Ben Freeman's Northern Brown Argus.

Thank you to everyone who tuned into the meeting last night, please note that the deadline for entries to round 3 is next week, the 3rd November, even though we don't have a club meeting. The judge will be Chris Bell from Deeside, who has not judged for the club before.
