On the first Tuesday of September we had the opportunity to get together for the first meeting of the 2022-23 session. The last time we were together was for the Angus Cup and John Senior Trophy Competition in the Brechin Cathedral Hall on Tuesday 10th March 2020, almost two and a half years ago. It was so good to see fourteen other members in the St Andrew's Church Hall for a presentation by President Norman on the programme for the coming photographic year.
Obviously some members couldn't manage to attend the meeting and some, understandably, don't feel comfortable about being in a small space with others due to Covid. This is why the committee has put together a mixed programme, mostly consisting of Zoom meetings for us to hear speakers on a wide variety of subjects, the judging of our competitions and some members nights, as well as having events, such as light painting, and outings. The first outing will be next Tuesday when there's a get-together at Arbroath Harbour at 6pm to take photographs and, for those who'd like it, a meal at The Auld Bakehouse. This was a very successful outing last year.
