

Simon Harbord - Vintage Photography
This Tuesday we have a guest speaker, Simon Harbord, visiting us. He will speak about Wet Plate Collodion Photography, a process that he uses to take images as though it were still the 19th century. As one of the oldest clubs in the UK, it is likely that the earliest photos taken by BPS members would have used this process, invented in 1851, although dry plate processes were introduced through the 1880s. The Blue Door club outing - Sunday 28th October
This Sunday (28th) we have our first outing of the season, to the Blue Door in Edzell. We've been here before as a club, but not for a few seasons, and it's always a lot of fun in the autumn. Rocks of Solitude If you've not been before, the Blue Door is located around a mile North of the village of Edzell, immediately across a road bridge over the River North Esk. There are about 6 parking spaces right by the bridge, but if these are full take the next left towards Glen Esk


Great News!!! National Lottery Awards for All Scotland success!
This evening we are able to bring you brilliant news - our bid for grant funding from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland has been successful. We are in much need of updated computer and projection equipment for the club, but the cost of the quality of equipment that the club really needs and the members deserve was outwith our means. We are currently working with a donated (well worn and outdated) laptop and a projector that has a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixe
