Season Review 2018-19
With the AGM upon us on Tuesday night, the season will officially end. However, for this season we have at least two more club nights after the AGM, and from 2019-20 the AGM will be moved out two weeks to lengthen the season. Most camera clubs run through to mid April at least, so we felt we should do so also. With the prize giving on Tuesday though, it seems appropriate to have a look back over the season. The Angus Cup and John Senior Trophy brings the curtain down an a season of club competitions - and it's been a great season. The ever improving standard of photography in the club was again underlined by the performance at the inter-club level. As we did last season, we have prepared a slide show of the winning images from the season. This will be displayed as a looping slideshow at the club's exhibition in the Town House Museum in May. John Senior Trophy success again!
Thank you to all those who came along last night to enjoy the Angus Cup and John Senior Trophy, despite awful weather and traffic problems. There is no question that the standard of photography on display was top drawer, and both competitions were closely fought. Brechin came SO close to winning both, but fell short by a single point to Mearns in the Angus Cup (digital). The John Senior Trophy (prints) was a different matter, with a brilliant score of 126 from a possible 14
