Main Project Results
On Tuesday Harry Scott visited the club to deliver his feedback on our main projects. He put a huge amount of work into his careful assessment of the images, and provided tonnes of constructive advice - in the end his presentation was more than 400 slides. We were really keen to make the process as much of a learning experience as possible - the concept of the Main Project is to introduce the idea of preparing a cohesive project, rather like you would if attempting an RPS d

Main Project judging, Upcoming events and the Club Magazine
MAIN PROJECT Tomorrow night, 26th February, we welcome Harry Scott to give his expert feedback on our Main project entries. It promises to be a really entertaining evening, with a great diversity of topics and photography styles to go through - I don't envy Harry's job of picking out a winner! As with the Print of the Year a couple of weeks ago, we have a LOT of images to go through, so it will be a prompt start at 7:15, a short tea break and no promise of being finished by

96th Scottish International Salon of Photography
Entries are open for the 2019 Scottish international Salon of Photography. As always, we would encourage members to have a go. There are wildlife prizes within the nature section, but these must conform to the strict wildlife image rules, which can be found on the Salon we

Stonehaven Outing - Sunday 24th February
I hope everyone enjoyed the feedback from Carnoustie Photo Group last night on our images. It's always very interesting to see how other people would approach the editing process in practice. As mentioned last night, we have a club outing in the programme for Sunday, in Stonehaven. The intention was to look at some architecture photography, although Stonehaven offers a range of photo opportunities, from wildlife to seascapes, street to architecture. Several people expresse

Carnoustie Twenty20 part 2
This evening we welcome members from Carnoustie Photo Group to give us feedback on 20 images from members sent to them earlier in the season. I think everyone enjoyed looking through their images a few weeks back, but tonight they get revenge for your brutal critique! However, Hayley and I will be visiting Carnoustie Photo Group on Thursday to do the same thing for their members, so if you want your president and secretary alive for next week, lets be nice to them tonight!!
